BINUS Business Law Dept and BINUS Entrepreneurship Centre, US Embassy, and Suryomurcito & Co in association with Rouse, would like to hold a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session with the topic “Universities challenges in nurturing Entrepreneurship” on Wednesday, 8 Oktober 2014 at 13.00 15.00 pm. The event will take place in Room 614 at FX Mall BINUS Campus (next to the office of Ministry of Education & Culture), Central Jakarta.
The FGD will discuss some interesting questions such as: (1) how to protect Intellectual Proprietary Rights (IPR) for students from their business start-up?; (2) how can entrepreneurship centres develop innovation, and how can the government help?; (3) what is the visibility of venture capital in Indonesia?; (4) what kinds of financing scheme for business startup available for students?
In this FGD, US Embassy provides a guest speaker, Mr Richard Litman. The speaker is a legal counsel for the International Intellectual Property Institute (IIPI). He is the Practice Group Leader of the Intellectual Property and Emerging Technologies Practice Group of Becker & Poliakoff, PA. He is the Office Managing Attorney of the firm’s Northern Virginia Office, which is the administrative office for the firm’s IP practice. His clients include universities, research centers,programs and resources supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and R&D funding organizations in emerging innovation economies. The Practice Group handles a wide spectrum of technologies, including Biotechnology and the Life Sciences, Information and Communications Technology, and
Energy and Environmental Technology.
