On Monday July 6th a team of Suryomurcito & Co lawyers held an “internship talk” with Business Law BINUS students as preparation for their internship trajectory. Suryomurcito & Co, a Rouse International partner, participated with a distinguished team. The team was led by Singapore-based lawyer Kin Wah Chow (Principal and registered foreign lawyer at Suryomurcito & Co) and further featured Evi Triana Wulandari (Partner), Fianka Permata (Trade Marks & Brands Manager) and Daniel Markho (Associate).
The Suryomurcito & Co team shared “tips & tricks” and “dos & don’ts” concerning application letters, CVs, the interview process, the use of AI, as well as how to answer written tests during the application. The speakers all shared their own personal professional journeys, which showed the students that there are different pathways to becoming an internationally recognized lawyer, as long as you are eager to learn, not afraid to admit your lack of knowledge, are not shy to seek help from others, and demonstrate determination to bring all tasks to a successful end.
A total of 75 Business Law students participated in the “Internship Talk”. Students participated actively and made good use of the opportunity to ask questions about how to best prepare for an internship and to inquire about the specific qualities international-oriented law firms are looking for [***].
