Dr. Iron Sarira is an academic and legal scholar with an interdisciplinary background in economics and law. Having initially pursued his undergraduate education in economics, he subsequently developed a specialised academic and professional interest in legal studies, particularly in labour law, industrial relations, employment regulation, and the legal governance of human resources. He earned his Master of Laws degree from Universitas Tarumanagara and later completed his Doctorate in Law at Parahyangan Catholic University. His combined expertise in economics and law enables him to analyse employment-related legal issues within their broader institutional, organisational, and socio-economic contexts. Dr. Sarira’s scholarly work focuses primarily on labour law and industrial relations. His publications include The Causality of Heteronomous Norms in the Formation of the Employment Cluster of the Omnibus Law from the Perspective of Indonesian Legal Politics; The Philosophical Basis of the Compulsory Company Manpower Report within the Framework of Pancasila Industrial Relations; The Concretisation of Indonesian Local Wisdom in the Legal System for Industrial-Relations Dispute Settlement; and Mediation in Industrial-Relations Disputes and Its Relationship with Relative Jurisdiction in Judicial Proceedings. His work has also examined discretionary licensing policies and risk management from the perspective of the welfare state governed by the rule of law. At BINUS, Dr. Sarira is actively involved in strengthening employee discipline, institutional compliance, and professional conduct through his work within Human Capital, a foundation-level organisational unit. In this capacity, he contributes to the development and implementation of policies concerning workforce governance, employment standards, organisational responsibility, and disciplinary procedures. Through his interdisciplinary scholarship and institutional engagement, Dr. Sarira contributes to the development of labour law, industrial-relations governance, and human-capital management in Indonesia
